Lumaverse 2022 Giving Tuesday Initiatives

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that inspires people and organizations to support nonprofits creating change throughout the world. This year, Lumaverse committed to honoring the tradition of giving back in a few unique ways.

Starting in the beginning of November, team members created cards and bookmarks to send to Cardz for Kidz. The organization is dedicated to spreading smiles and encouragement through handmade and hand-delivered cards to children, families, seniors, and veterans in hospitals, schools, senior living, and rehabilitation centers. In addition to sending 743 handmade cards from employees, Lumaverse Technologies also donated a total of $10,000 to help further their efforts.

Another Lumaverse initiative was the Season of Giving giveaway sponsored by SignUpGenius, our online sign up solution. The company committed to donate a total of $2,000 to 4 randomly selected nonprofits nominated by giveaway participants. The nonprofits selected to receive $500 for Giving Tuesday 2022 were the JP4 Foundation, Adams County SPCA, Wounded Warrior Project and Jumpstart. Each of these organizations “empowers people to change the world,” which is a core value of the Lumaverse mission.

The final 2022 initiative is Lumaverse’s annual Giving Tuesday campaign, which commits to charitable giving through a direct giving choice for employees. The annual giving initiative allows each team member to choose an organization that will receive a $250 donation directly from the company.

This year, 89 donations were made on Tuesday, November 29th to nonprofits selected by team members. The organizations selected for direct giving are listed below, representing the groups that mean the most to our team members around the ‘verse.
