Today, we are extremely excited to launch and ignite the power of communities.
We have a shared vision with communities – to empower people to change the world, together. When we look back on our journey starting almost 20 years ago, before our companies joined forces, all the way back to the first customer of our first brand, we never imagined how incredibly impactful this simple vision would be today. As the world continues to shift in unprecedented and unexpected ways, the need for connection to our communities is more important than ever. To remind us of the power of these actions and our modest role, a Margaret Mead quote was painted on the wall of the office:
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
We originally planned to launch Lumaverse Technologies on March 16, 2020. The global pandemic paused those plans. Instead of introducing a new company, we focused on ensuring our team, their families and communities were safe. Many of our colleagues are deeply involved in their schools and nonprofit organizations. They understand first-hand that these are the most important organizations in their communities. It is our top priority, and honor, to support them as they find inspiring ways to use technology to bring people together; in the face of a global pandemic, then through the economic fallout, and most recently amidst nationwide protests. We appreciate and take seriously the opportunity to be a part of the solution at this critical time.
Throughout history, great generational challenges sparked breakthrough innovation. Thus, in addition to being thoughtful, committed citizens, our mission is to build simplicity into the best engagement software in the world. When I started in technology 30+ years ago on a vintage Apple Macintosh SE, I learned the keys to incredible software: intuitive experience (DIY), data rich (analytics) and high performance (any screen, anytime and fast). Lumaverse software embodies these characteristics with the brightest creativity, elegance and intellect. From a doctor volunteering a night shift to treat COVID-19 patients, to a teacher coordinating lunch and Chromebook distribution, to a citizen marching to support social justice, people use our great software to connect and change the course of the world, forever and for the better.
Working with our customers, Lumaverse Technologies is lighting a whole new way to community engagement, productivity, and connection.
We do so with an amazing team rooted in the core values of respect, growth, innovation, embrace change and fun! Over these challenging months, I’ve been exceptionally energized by our team. Our team’s instinct to care for one another, commitment to our customers, ability to pivot, and come out the other side to establish Lumaverse is truly amazing.
